Chicken Alfredo

Sam, Nicky & I absolutely loved it but Ben was a different story. No offense to your recipe Lexi, but for the first time ever, I got full blown gags out of Ben! He wouldn't even touch it and kept saying "EEEWW!! =gag=" any time he saw it. It just made me laugh. He's not really a sauce kinda kid. Next time I'll have to pull out the noodles, chicken & broccoli for him before the sauce goes in.

All that aside, thanks for the recipe Lexi! The desire to try it out made for a fun family night. Due to busy lives, Sam and I haven't cooked together for a while and we certainly haven't sat together as a family at the dinner table in even longer! Everyone else: go try out this easy yet creamy & delicious recipe. You'll love it.

Hanging Out

The rest of the weekend, we just did some low key things. We had a little cookout and went to the movies and saw "Night at the Museum 2." Mom's birthday is the day after Sam's so Joshie made both of them birthday burgers.

Mom's is the little one and Sam's is the giganto one -the picture does not do the burger justice. It was huge!

This is the cake I made for Sam's bday dinner with his family that started Sam's bday weekend! Those pictures to hopefully come soon!

Baseball Game

Last step on Sam's Birthday weekend of fun was a Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball game. Every year so far, Charles County employees get one day at the ball park with free admission.

They have a neat play area set up with a big blow up slide, moon bounce & obstacle course. Benny went up the slide all on his own!

But then needed Daddy for the ride down. Mommy got to try it the 2nd time around! We felt like kids again!

My Mom & lil bro, Joshie came along for the fun! It was a perfect low key activity for Mom -just sit back and enjoy the game!

Dave & Busters

After we went to Medieval Times, next up on our night of fun was Dave & Busters. For those of you who don't what Dave & Busters is, it's like an adult arcade. You even have to be 21 -or accompanied by an adult to enter the place! We all had alot of fun. Before we went in though, Benny went for a ride on a choo-choo!

I had played this thing for a good 5 rounds when Sam came up and won the jackpot on the first try!

Medieval Times

For Sam's SURPRISE 30th birthday, I really wanted to do something special. I came up with the idea to go to Medieval Times (sort of a stab at his now "medieval age", haha!) Most of my family and some friends were able to come and join in the fun with us. We all had such a blast. The best time we've all had in a while. Sam certainly felt special and loved. After the Medieval Times show, we all went down to Dave & Busters for some good fun -more pictures to come in my next post.

This was the moment of surprise. Let me tell you - the man had NO CLUE. He is so gullible or rather, he trusts me and what I say a bit too much. I could get away with anything! Haha! Over the past month but most especially the day of, there were a million reasons for him to catch onto something but he never did. It made for a great surprise!
