Hanging Out

The rest of the weekend, we just did some low key things. We had a little cookout and went to the movies and saw "Night at the Museum 2." Mom's birthday is the day after Sam's so Joshie made both of them birthday burgers. Mom's is the little one and Sam's is the giganto one -the picture does not do the burger justice. It was huge!
Ben blowing out Gramma's candle. Nicky loves loves loves his Uncle Josh. He was attached to him all weekend!
Perfect opportunity for Mom to sit, relax and push Nicky on the swing.
This is the cake I made for Sam's bday dinner with his family that started Sam's bday weekend! Those pictures to hopefully come soon!
That's shaved chocolate on top, mmmmmmmm... yummy!

Baseball Game

Last step on Sam's Birthday weekend of fun was a Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball game. Every year so far, Charles County employees get one day at the ball park with free admission.

They have a neat play area set up with a big blow up slide, moon bounce & obstacle course. Benny went up the slide all on his own!
But then needed Daddy for the ride down. Mommy got to try it the 2nd time around! We felt like kids again!
Ben LOVED the moon bounce!
Then had some fun on the jungle gym.
Ben & Daddy were both exhausted after all that playing!
My Mom & lil bro, Joshie came along for the fun! It was a perfect low key activity for Mom -just sit back and enjoy the game!
Joshie & his girlfriend, Nycki.

Cute little dude!

Dave & Busters

After we went to Medieval Times, next up on our night of fun was Dave & Busters. For those of you who don't what Dave & Busters is, it's like an adult arcade. You even have to be 21 -or accompanied by an adult to enter the place! We all had alot of fun. Before we went in though, Benny went for a ride on a choo-choo! Jeremiah: Deal or No Deal?
I had played this thing for a good 5 rounds when Sam came up and won the jackpot on the first try!
Chris playing some skee ball.
Hey, I can make a hoop or 2! I did better than Sam on this one, lol!
Vroom, Vroom!
All in all, we got over 2400 tickets!
I'm cRAzY about my tickets!

Medieval Times

For Sam's SURPRISE 30th birthday, I really wanted to do something special. I came up with the idea to go to Medieval Times (sort of a stab at his now "medieval age", haha!) Most of my family and some friends were able to come and join in the fun with us. We all had such a blast. The best time we've all had in a while. Sam certainly felt special and loved. After the Medieval Times show, we all went down to Dave & Busters for some good fun -more pictures to come in my next post.
Sam being knighted by the King himself!
Here's the proof. ;)
This was the moment of surprise. Let me tell you - the man had NO CLUE. He is so gullible or rather, he trusts me and what I say a bit too much. I could get away with anything! Haha! Over the past month but most especially the day of, there were a million reasons for him to catch onto something but he never did. It made for a great surprise!
The Royal Family
King Sam & Prince Benny of Hughesville
Queen Stephie & Prince Nicky of Hughesville
Prince Nicky & the Court Jester, Uncle Chris
Your royal heiness, of course!
Our eating utensils were our hands -Just like in medieval times!
The royal family -minus one prince.
Duke Jeremiah of Wescosville
I like flags, lol :) Some may even call it a fetish. (Inside joke!)
The Court Jester & Lady Julia
Duke Jeremiah of Wescosville & Lord Uncle Mike of Emmaus
Count Joshua of Wescosville & Countess Nycki
Ladies of the Court: Michelle, Kelly, Lois
Kelly won the heart of the knight.

But my heart belongs to my knight in shining armor!
Having a blast!
Enthralled!

Strawberries

We were able to pick our first strawberries! They're really small because we actually haven't planted them in their spacious spot in the yard yet (they're a bit confined) but nonetheless, we have produced fruit! We're also growing some vegetables in our Topsy Turvey planters and Sam planted a few rows of corn, and various other things. I can't wait to give an update with those. So far, everything is growing wonderfully!
